Meet Chad Abshire

An award-winning journalist with more than seven years of experience, Chad Abshire is a storyteller currently based in the coalfields of Eastern Kentucky.

He’s told tales from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains where the Hatfields and McCoys once feuded, gotten deep into the history and culture on the flat plains of Indiana and questioned everything he ever knew in the snowcapped peaks of the Rockies.

Open to new ideas and willing to try almost anything once, Chad has met people he won’t forget and experienced things that he just can’t. Usually always for the sake of the adventure, for the sake of the story to share with someone someday.

He likes puns, snowmen and video games. You’ll notice he doesn’t use the oxford comma. He thinks it’s harder to like something than it is to hate it and is figuring it all out as it comes to him.
